Last chance: National Public Housing Museum Biennial Exhibit

As Blair Kamin pointed to in his recent Tribune article, housing as a public good, and the investment as such, can reinvigorate neighborhoods and create healthier communities. In its final week, you can tour three exhibits that document a history and future in public housing at the lone remaining building of the Jane Addams Homes and future home of the National Public Housing Museum at 1322 W Taylor street.

NPHM’s exhibits unpacks the complex policy of public and affordable housing, brings together academic research with lived memories and oral histories, and engages its audience in questions about the future of housing and how to strengthen collective work to influence political will and the future of housing in America.
