Dorchester Art + Housing Collaborative Featured in AIA Film Challenge
AIA recently launched the AIA Film Challenge 2020; a competition that encourages collaboration between architects and filmmakers to share architectural stories. This year’s prompt is to tell a story about architects partnering with communities and civic leaders to design a healthy, sustainable, just world that improves peoples’ lives.
Thanks to filmmaker Brodie Kerst, the Dorchester Art + Housing Collaborative project was submitted to the challenge. The 90-second video shares some of the thought processes and intentions behind successfully renovating formerly neglected housing into a mix-income community and art center.
