CAF’s 30th Annual Newhouse Competition

This morning at Robert Morris College’s State Street Gallery, over 150 high school students had the opportunity to showcase their work in design and the built environment for Chicago’s architecture community. More than 17,000 students have participated in the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Newhouse Competition over the past 30 years.

The program teaches students problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and decision-making skills as well as the skills necessary to be competitive in the fields related to the built environment. Finalists are awarded prestigious, paid summer internships at Chicago firms and Taliesen (Frank Lloyd Wright’s School of Architecture in Wisconsin). LBBA’s Terran Wilson, Jack Schroeder and Catherine Baker were excited to be a part of this year’s jury. Congratulations to all the participants!
