Davis Cottages, Union Pier, MI

After completing a summer home for one of our first clients, we were asked to design a pair of small cottages on a nearby lot that initially were to be rented and later to be sold. The houses were built around a 20’x20’ living space with 2 bedrooms off one side, a kitchen and a bath off the other side, a stair to a 2nd floor loft on the front and a screened in porch and open deck off the rear. Simple arts and crafts detailing with custom light fixtures, custom built in cabinets, and a rich color palette made this quirky pair simple, fun and affordable.
