Healthcare Alternative Systems, Chicago, IL

Healthcare Alternative Systems, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides substance abuse treatment and domestic violence services to patients throughout the Chicago area. Not only do they provide stable housing and in-house treatment programs at satellite facilities, the facility at 45th and Western Ave. provides outcare and after care services to support patients during recovery and after treatment. To accommodate the needs of this facility, the project includes a 2,100 sq.ft second story addition for 9 additional offices, the renovation of a large group room, community room and accessible bathrooms. The addition was clad in standing seam metal panels with large bay windows to provide inviting spaces for the counselors, patients and administrators.
