LUCHA Madres Unidas, Chicago, IL

Lacking decent, affordable housing in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, a group of single mothers gathered together and requested assistance from LUCHA, a non-profit organization. The 61 new, affordable rental units are scattered throughout the neighborhood and consist of three flats and a six flat with a community space. The units are designed with the input from the mothers.
