Thresholds Mothers’ Project, Chicago, IL

Thresholds is a non-profit organization that offers emotional and mental health services to people experiencing issues such as social isolation, depression and domestic violence. The Thresholds Mothers’ Project teaches independent living and parenting skills to families throughout the Chicago area. A 2,500 sq. ft. program expansion necessitated this interior renovation and build out creating additional space for offices, meeting and exam rooms. A new main building entry space was created for the program which included a custom Knothead designed reception desk and birch inlay ceiling. Natural light floods the space and the interior finishes were selected to provide a warm and comforting environment.
